National Contract Management Association (NCMA)

The National Contract Management Association (NCMA), founded in 1959, is the world’s leading professional resource for those in the field of contract management. The organization, which has over 20,000 members, is dedicated to the professional growth and educational advancement of procurement and acquisition personnel worldwide. NCMA strives to serve and inform the profession it represents and to offer opportunities for the open exchange of ideas in neutral forums.

NCMA strives to provide professional development resources through their educational seminars, annual conferences and symposiums, professional certifications, and programs such as Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP).

NCMA Certifications

NCMA offers a number of professional certifications that help you stand out from the crowd. The CPCM, CFCM, and CCCM are certifications awarded to candidates who meet rigorous standards, including experience, education, training, and knowledge. They are professional designations of distinction, and carry the respect of their peers in the profession. The NCMA professional certification program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and distinguish those who demonstrate knowledge essential to the practice of contract management.

Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP)

The highly-competitive Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP) is designed to help develop our next generation of leaders through an intensive educational experience focused on live leadership training, mentoring and networking. Participants will receive, without charge, approximately 160 hours of top-quality education during this 10-month program in leadership, volunteerism, and governance. A primary goal of the program is to propel graduates into leadership positions, armed with the tools they will need to succeed.


Your Chapter

The NCMA Hampton Roads Chapter (#47) was chartered October 19, 1972 and is made up of officers, committee chairman, members and non-members who meet in order to strengthen the chapter network through mentorship, collaboration, and innovation.
